English Summary "Christelijke Oratorium Vereniging ‘Con Amore’ Leiden"
The choir has a tradition of performing a wide range of diverse classical works. Our repertoire consists of well and less well known pieces. For example ‘Con Amore’ has had the tradition of annually performing either Handel’s “Messiah” or Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio”. While that tradition has been discontinued due to rising costs, both works are nevertheless still sung by the choir on a regular basis (see for details this website under section: Repertoire). The choir organises annually a major concert with a professional orchestra and professional soloists (see under section: Komende concerten) . Because of the significant costs involved in staging such events we sometimes restrict ourselves to a performance with organ accompaniment only. Last concert
